To all you late nighters out there...
I think a lot of you moms (and dads) can relate. It's 1:36 a.m., all the kids are sleeping soundly, and even my handsome husband has been asleep for hours now. I, however, am enjoying some alone time - a precious commodity for a mom of three during Spring Break.
My embroidery machine is humming along, and while I don't really need to watch over it and I probably should be going to sleep, I have decided to post my first message on this new blog.
This morning I met the nicest person, Frances. (Check out her blog: http://www.jackandjake.blogspot.com/)
She came over to have her twins' baseball bags monogrammed. Frances encouraged me to start blogging, so I promised her I would give it a try. Here goes!
Today Caroline (my 7 year old sweetie) and I went to Tea at the Gallery and enjoyed a birthday tea in honor of my good friend Cat. Catherine's daughter, and friends Tammy, Becky and Sara were all there, decked out in giant pearls and tiaras and ring pops!
Later Caroline and I went shopping at the Southern Market and bought two tiny tiaras for her American Girl dolls, went grocery shopping, and then drove home.
It was boy heaven when we arrived home. Wil (my 10 year old) had just come home from a trip to Granny and Grandpa's. He and Grandpa hiked almost 14 miles today - they loved it. His friend Ethan had just come over to play. Peter (my 5 year old spunky monkey) was playing on our playground and chasing Wil with his nerf gun. My handsome go-to guy, Chuck, had just bought a new monitor and keyboard for our computer for the kids, so he had a new toy to play with.
There's something about the impending rain that makes me want to curl up and take a nap, but there's no time for that. Lots of embroidering to do...
Which brings me to my current task. And now I think I'll leave the embroidery machine to do all the work and I will catch a few hours sleep.
