Easter pics

We had a beautiful day at our parents' (in-law) on Sunday. Easter is my favorite day of the year! It also happened to be my 12th wedding anniversary. The whole family came for lunch and the egg hunt on the hill.

Corvette Expo

Today we set up our booth at the Corvette Expo. We will be at the Sevierville Convention Center Friday and Saturday from 9-6. I hope we sell lots, because we have some fun new spring items that are not yet on our website. Market totes (we call them picnic baskets), double wine bottle bags, and pull coolers come in classic fun colors - black, orange, red, chocolate brown, pink, and lime green.

On Sunday, we'll be moving into our NEW and IMPROVED shop at the Southern Market, 5400 Homberg Drive, Knoxville, TN.

If you love sidewalk sales, be sure and visit us at the Southern Market for Spring Fling on April 4th from 10-6. Our table is in the back parking lot, and we'll have items priced to sell quickly.

Look what the Easter bunny brought

Check out these cute monogrammable Easter baskets! These hold a LOT of loot, too, so the big kids will like them as much as the little kids. These come in orange, green, blue and pink. I really like them; hope you will too! Check out our website, http://www.logoandstitch.com/, to order.

Computer age

Sunday morning, Peter (our 5 year old) comes into our bedroom and taps me on the shoulder. I was sleeping, but I opened one eye. He has the sweetest little voice: "Mom, can you put some more age in the computer?"

You see, Peter is our little computer kid. His big brother and sister both got handheld video games for Christmas, but he uses the computer to play his games. Our new computer was set up this weekend, and it did not take Peter long to find out that it needed more "age" to run his Lego Star Wars video game.

"Age?" I asked.

"Yeah, Mom. It won't work."

"Oh you must mean RAM. Honey, go ask Daddy to help you."

I tried to sleep after that but it was just too funny. Time to start the day...

Chuck's 39th birthday

Wow we're getting old, but still having lots of fun! I woke up this morning, saw the kids off to school, and started cooking ribs, cheesecake, and all the fixings for my husband's birthday that we had tonight. The house smelled really yummy today...
We have a playground and pavillion for outdoor fun, so we invited Gene and Rhonda, my parents, and my sister and her family over for southern-style dinner outdoors.
It's so nice to celebrate this birthday, because it's the last year he can say he's in his thirties. I hope this year is a really special one for him.
We had a nice time tonight, and I had the camera but forgot to take a picture. I think I'll have to take one tomorrow - his first full day of being 39! (This picture is from last summer but we look basically the same I hope!)

Burning the midnight oil

To all you late nighters out there...
I think a lot of you moms (and dads) can relate. It's 1:36 a.m., all the kids are sleeping soundly, and even my handsome husband has been asleep for hours now. I, however, am enjoying some alone time - a precious commodity for a mom of three during Spring Break.
My embroidery machine is humming along, and while I don't really need to watch over it and I probably should be going to sleep, I have decided to post my first message on this new blog.
This morning I met the nicest person, Frances. (Check out her blog: http://www.jackandjake.blogspot.com/)
She came over to have her twins' baseball bags monogrammed. Frances encouraged me to start blogging, so I promised her I would give it a try. Here goes!
Today Caroline (my 7 year old sweetie) and I went to Tea at the Gallery and enjoyed a birthday tea in honor of my good friend Cat. Catherine's daughter, and friends Tammy, Becky and Sara were all there, decked out in giant pearls and tiaras and ring pops!
Later Caroline and I went shopping at the Southern Market and bought two tiny tiaras for her American Girl dolls, went grocery shopping, and then drove home.
It was boy heaven when we arrived home. Wil (my 10 year old) had just come home from a trip to Granny and Grandpa's. He and Grandpa hiked almost 14 miles today - they loved it. His friend Ethan had just come over to play. Peter (my 5 year old spunky monkey) was playing on our playground and chasing Wil with his nerf gun. My handsome go-to guy, Chuck, had just bought a new monitor and keyboard for our computer for the kids, so he had a new toy to play with.
There's something about the impending rain that makes me want to curl up and take a nap, but there's no time for that. Lots of embroidering to do...
Which brings me to my current task. And now I think I'll leave the embroidery machine to do all the work and I will catch a few hours sleep.
